Parker 28 leads Cincinnati past Marquette 72-61

Duke defeats Boston College 75-50

BOSTON — For a change, Duke didn't have to dig itself out of a hole. Its defense took care of that by smothering Boston College.
The No. 5 Blue Devils, coming off consecutive wins with late rallies, held the Eagles to their lowest point total this season in a 75-50 victory on Sunday night. Seth Curry had 18 points and Austin Rivers scored 16, but defense was the big difference.

PROVIDENCE, RI — Top-ranked Syracuse was struggling to put Providence away. Then an assistant coach pulled Brandon Triche aside at halftime and told him to be more aggressive.
The Syracuse guard hit three consecutive 3-pointers early in the second half and the Orange went on to beat Providence 87-73 on Wednesday night. Triche finished with 16 points, including going 4 of 5 from 3-point range, and Syracuse shot 73 percent from the field in the second half.
